Model Context Protocol (MCP)
The open standard (launched November 2024) that lets AI agents call external systems through typed tools — the USB port between models like Claude and the software that does things.
Adoption went vertical: 9,400+ public servers by April 2026, with major sales platforms shipping their own MCP servers through the first half of 2026. For outbound, MCP is the difference between an AI that talks about LinkedIn and one that operates it — sourcing, drafting, pacing — under whatever rules the server enforces. The protocol is neutral; the safety lives in the server's design.
LinkedBoost is the LinkedIn MCP for Claude — agent-run outreach with enforced limits and a human trigger on every send. See how it works →
