How the weekly invitation limit works
LinkedIn applies invitation limits to Basic and Premium accounts. Its guidance says that reaching a limit can cause a temporary invitation restriction. Use the actual notice; published help does not promise a universal 100- or 200-invitation allowance.
What counts against the limit
Invitations are distinct from messages and other activity. Withdrawing pending invitations does not remove an invitation restriction. Check the notice before assuming that unused internal headroom means LinkedIn will accept another invitation.
What does not count
Ordinary messages, InMail, and post engagement use different capabilities from invitations. They still have their own rules and operational limits.
The numbers that matter more than the cap
Review audience relevance, unresolved invitations, and actual account state. Keep internal sending limits separate from LinkedIn's restrictions; no fixed daily schedule guarantees account safety.
What LinkedBoost enforces
LinkedBoost's effective caps depend on the seat profile, configured overrides, and ramp state. Read get_accounts_status for the current values. The reviewed code does not establish a universal 20/80 limit, automatic acceptance-rate kill switch, or weekly company-collision lock.
Does the limit reset on a fixed day?
Use LinkedIn's current notice for the account. Do not confuse LinkedBoost's internal calendar-week counter with a guaranteed LinkedIn reset schedule.
Can I pay to raise it?
LinkedIn says invitations cannot be bought or acquired while an invitation restriction applies. A paid plan or a separate messaging channel does not remove that restriction.
Why was I restricted while under 100?
A commonly repeated volume estimate is not a safe threshold. LinkedIn may restrict unauthorized automated activity, and internal pacing controls cannot establish otherwise.

Treat LinkedIn's account notice as authoritative and compare it separately with LinkedBoost's current seat limits.
What to check
Internal caps are not LinkedIn's allowance. A paid plan, withdrawing invites, or adding InMail does not remove an invitation restriction.
