The data files outbound tools produce (and LinkedIn itself offers for your connections): the portable memory of who you know and who you've touched. The migration currency of the category.
Before migration, inspect the file's identities, row count, dates, sender information, and message direction. Stage and review the mapped rows before saving. LinkedBoost's import stages lead data; it does not automatically replay historical conversations or turn arbitrary CSV columns into enforced suppression.
In practice
Stage the file, reconcile row counts and identity errors, save reviewed records, and separately apply verified exclusions.
What to check
A file may omit message direction, sender identity, timestamps, or opt-outs. Import does not automatically reconstruct history or suppression.
